About ”Don’t fuck with the Lewises!” :

A film team travels through Deep South, USA. Dusty back roads lead them to Ferriday, Louisiana, where a “Drive-Thru-Bar & Liquor Store” attracts their attention. They soon learn that next door is the boyhood home of Rock’n Roll Legend Jerry Lee Lewis. The owner of both these places is Frankie Jean, Jerry Lee’s sister.

The team is invited in and this is the beginning of 12 strange and dramatic hours in Ferriday.

This absurd family tale culminates in a dramatic situation, were the fist fighting, gunshots and racial conflict becomes a strong evidence of the hardship and isolation that surrounds the Lewises. And yet on another level, the situation displays the pressure, fear and segregation that still very much are present in this part of USA today.

This is documentary film in its purest form. It all evolves in front of the cameras in the same location, within 12 hours.

And inevitable the film team becomes part of something, that will mark them for quite some time….
