dBut Records presents:
A tribute to the couple of the century: dBut Royal
Listen to the dBut Royal compilation here.
The setting: the heir to the Norwegian throne has met his wife to
be. A grand wedding and much celebration is in the planning. To
provide the people with a useful purpose for their gifts a humanitarian
fund is set up. Enter indie label with intentions of releasing a
compilation with its main artists and some celebrity guests. The
result? A stunning release, from which the complete surplus is channelled
to the future king & queen's fund.
Late August saw the happy couple wed and dBut's latest compilation
in the shops. Comprising brand new tracks from dBut veterans Boy,
Perculator, Nood, Moon Orchestra, Tøyen and Sternklang as
well as debutantes Stellan, this is a landmark release in dBut's
history. Multi-platinum selling popstars Briskeby have generously
donated their massive "Propaganda" hit to Moon Orchestra
for some dirt-adding remixing. Long time soulmates Palace of Pleasure
proves again that few can rival their dub-disco-kings position.
One of the indisputable musical princesses of Norway, Frost, has
donated a stunning follow up to previous hits, thus generating massive
expectations while we await her next album. All in all a complete
package from the Appointed Supplier of Fine Grooves to the Royal
Norwegian Castle.
Showing the direction we're heading, this is not just a hastily
compiled collection of tracks - it's a testament to dBut and it's
artist's development. Both Sternklang, Moon Orchestra and Boy showcase
tracks from their upcoming albums, while Perculator release their
first new material since their "Sergeant Major" album.
Tøyen follows up on their recently US-released album with
a stunning new track, complementing freshman Stellan in his first
release ever!
Join the royalists - buy the album and support a good cause. When
will you ever be presented with a chance like this again?
