dBut Records proudly presents their funkiest signing: Sternklang!
After a two-album stay at Tromsø's fine Beatservice label, Sternklang has chosen Oslo-based dBut Records as home for his new releases. The hardworking Rune Brøndbo aka Sternklang that is.
To quench that thirst for his irresistible cocktail, dBut made the "Beautiful Thing" 7" available to the public on October 29 2001. This was a primer for what was to come. Sternklang's third album "My Time Is Yours" was released on April 10 2002 to wide critical acclaim. Five out of five stars in most of Norway's dailies.

A succesfull European tour followed and gave him a solid foundation to build upon. "My Time Is Yours" was released in France by XIII Biz, and has spread out throughout Europe. Sternklang's previous album "My Time Is Yours" was well received in Japan. So well received that Japanese label Ramling Records, http://www.rambling.ne.jp, licenced a new version of the record. The release was titled "White nights, bright days" and sold well in Japan.

Live, he set out to utilise the full potential of his instrument-toting friends. Samples and loops was accompanied by live musicians and real instruments. Without a doubt, they were all treated with the magical Sternklang formula: twist it, stretch it and then funk it all up.

Now, a new chapter begins. Rune has finally found time to finish his awaited follow-up album. And what an album it has become! The songs are original, freshsounding and we at dbut are very very proud of him! Look out for concerts, he will soon take his splendid band on the road.
