Sternklang ”Transistor Beach”
NDBUT 031 Twelve tracks, Norwegian release date 09.10.06
P&C dbut records 2006

Sternklang, one of the truly great pioneers of Norwegian electronica, returns with a new album, a fully instrumented band and vocal helpers from all sides of Norwegian pop. This is his best album to date and will give broad audiences from both pop- and electronica followings a great big smile on their faces! The record will be promoted with the outstanding “Tricky Girls” in front, with plenty airtime and a video which will be released in the start of November. The song is an up-tempo dancefloor filler of a joyous song, written with Therese Lunde from the Norwegian electrorock band x.lover. The song is a guaranteed club hit.

Other guests on the album are Pål Angelskår from Minor Majority and Sigmund Floyd of Palace of Pleasure.

Sternklang has many fans all over the world that have awaited this album for a long time, and they won’t be let down. With three albums behind him, several EP´s, remixes and the few last years participation with the band Wibutee, Sternklang has shown his integrity and a steady provider for quality music. Sternklang watermark is clearly visible; his open, warm sound and irresistible sense for rhythm. The fact that he has let his trusted live musicians Tor Egil Kreken, Peter Baden, Håkon Kornstad and Per Zanussi participate on the album, emphasizes the broad sound experience. Along with friends as Dorfmeister, Prins Thomas and other well-known DJ´s, this album will be listened and danced to in clubs all over Europe and beyond. Sternklangs upcoming tour is being booked these days.

Pål Angelskår from Minor Majority sings the spinetingeling, beautiful song ”What she says”, and Sigmund Floyd embodies the quirky ”Gong Ghetto” and the crooner like ”Everlasting Sense”. More than that, the album consists of strong instrumental numbers, visionary, intelligent and truly exciting music. The cover art is done by Håkon Kornstad whose now doubles an exhibition in Beijing with Kim Hiortøy.
